How could an aviation accident have 190 million victims? On September 29, 2006, just before 5:00 pm local time, a Gol Airlines Boeing 737-800 collided in mid-air with an Embraer Legacy 600 executive jet and crashed into the Brazilian rainforest. All 154 passengers aboard the Boeing were killed. This accident was caused by a series of errors committed by the two Americans, Joseph Lepore and Jan Paul Paladino, who were piloting the Legacy aircraft and who remain unpunished to this day. American Airlines and Excel Aire keep the two pilots employed as if nothing has ever happened, putting in jeopardy the lives of all passengers who still use their services.
